WHAT IS ADVENT EXACTLY?
Advent is the time of year that really kicks off the year for the church. It is a 4 week period of anticipation. The word advent means “arrival.” And that’s what we are doing. We are eagerly waiting to celebrate the birth of Christ and eagerly awaiting his return. His arrival. The first Christmas was the first advent. And our hope is that soon, we will see his second arrival.
WHY CELEBRATE ADVENT?
Advent is a time we can slow down and really focus on Jesus, It’s a way for us to deconstruct the craziness of the season and prepare our hearts, or to make room, for Jesus and not get lost in the materialism of this season.
Join us from December 1 – December 25 as we celebrate Advent together either in-person or online with special music and a teaching series all month long.
