Below are a few things you may be wondering about before you come to The Dwelling Place.
We are located on 90 Village Drive, Brentwood, CA. The main cross street is Brentwood Boulevard. If you're coming off of Brentwood Blvd, as soon as you turn we are directly behind the Brentwood Petroleum Gas Station (look for the green gas station).
Our services are typically about 90 minutes and start at 10am. Every Sunday, our service involves: Praising & Worshipping: We’ll praise God and encourage each other with songs. Preaching: We’ll preach the unchanging truth of Scripture and seek to apply the Gospel to the facets of our lives. Communion: On the first Sunday of every month we’ll celebrate the Lord’s Supper as a reminder of Jesus’ death as a sacrifice for sins. Giving: We'll respond in worship through generous, joyous and sacrificial giving. You can give online or during our time of giving near the end of service.
We meet each Sunday for Sunday School at 8:45am – 9:45am. Our Worship service begins at 10:00am after a short 15 minute break and our service lasts about 1 hour 15 minutes. Each service includes testimonies, praise & worship and a relevant message from the Bible that will be helpful to your daily life.
When you arrive, make your way towards our building and one of our friendly guest services connectors will show you to the sanctuary.
We do not have a dress code at TDP, however, just as you would want to look decent for a big event, why not look decent for the biggest event of all which is worshipping Jesus? So whether you come casual in your most comfortable jeans or wear your favorite suit, we’re just excited that we all get to celebrate God together.
You know what? It’s okay. Everyone had a first day going to church. We totally understand if Church is not something you’re used to but we will try our best to help make you feel welcome. If you don’t know any of the songs, no worries, we will have lyrics on the screen. If you don’t have a bible or are not familiar with the one you have, we got you covered, scriptures will be on the screen also. We will not ask you to say anything and we will let you know everything we will do next so you don’t feel left out.
That's great! Our sermons are generally about 40 minutes in length each week and always starts with the scripture as the basis of the message. Check out SERMON ARCHIVE and give a sermon or two a test drive!
Masks are optional. Some people may either be immunocompromised or have a cold and are mor than welcome to wear their mask.
